Program
Payouts (Rewards) Policy
Effective date: July 14, 2026 · Last updated: July 14, 2026
This policy explains how rewards work in the Crest simulated-funded phase — when you become eligible, how much you can request, and how requests are reviewed and paid.
What a reward is
A reward is a performance-based payment made by Talon from its own operating funds, based on simulated results. It is not a withdrawal of your money, a share of trading revenue, a profit distribution, a dividend, or a wage. Talon holds no funds on your behalf. No trading in any Talon program is real, and no reward is guaranteed.
1. Rewards are Crest only
There are no rewards in the T-Flight evaluation phase. Rewards become available only after you pass T-Flight, activate a Crest account, and meet every condition below.
2. Conditions for a reward request
All of the following must be true at the time you submit a request:
- Minimum trading days. At least ten (10) qualifying days on the Crest account, counted from the first day the account was traded or from your last reward request, whichever is later. The count restarts after each request.
- Qualifying day. A day counts only if the net result for that day moves by at least the threshold for your account size (see Section 3). A gain or a loss both count. Token or self-cancelling trades do not create a qualifying day.
- Payout threshold. Your balance must be at or above the payout threshold for your account size at the moment you submit.
- Consistency. No single trading day's profit may exceed 20% of the account's total profit at the time of the request.
- Minimum request. $500.
- Good standing. No open breach of the Prohibited Activities policy, and identity and tax verification complete.
3. Thresholds, caps, and qualifying movement
| Account | Frozen floor | Payout threshold | Max per request | Max rewards | Qualifying day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $25,100 | $26,500 | $1,000 | 5 | ±$100 |
| 50K | $50,100 | $53,000 | $1,500 | 5 | ±$200 |
| 100K | $100,100 | $106,000 | $2,000 | 5 | ±$300 |
| 150K | $150,100 | $159,000 | $2,500 | 5 | ±$300 |
| 250K | $250,100 | $265,000 | $2,750 | 5 | ±$300 |
| 300K | $300,100 | $320,000 | $3,000 | 5 | ±$300 |
The minimum request is $500 for every account size.
4. The floor, the threshold, and what a payout leaves behind
Two figures govern a Crest account. They do different jobs.
The frozen floor — your kill line
Your floor starts below your opening balance and trails your account's highest balance by the account's maximum drawdown. It keeps trailing up as you make money, but only until it reaches your starting balance plus $100. At that point it freezes permanently and never moves again, up or down. That frozen figure is your kill line: if your balance touches it, the account fails.
The payout threshold — the door to a reward
Separately, your balance must reach your starting balance plus your profit target before you can request a reward at all. Because that sits above the frozen floor, your floor will always have frozen by the time a reward is available.
What a payout may leave behind
The threshold is a door, not a permanent minimum. Once you are through it, a reward may take your balance back below the payout threshold. What it may never do is take your balance to or below the frozen floor.
Worked example — 50K account
Your floor freezes at $50,100. You trade to $53,000, which is the payout threshold, so a request is now open to you. You request the maximum $1,500 and it is approved, leaving $51,500 — below the $53,000 threshold, but comfortably above the $50,100 floor. Your account keeps trading with the same frozen floor. To request again, you build back to $53,000 and complete ten more qualifying days.
5. Requesting, review, and payment
- Requests may be submitted on any day after 6:00 PM ET from your trader dashboard.
- Our team reviews every request within 24 hours.
- Approved requests are paid the same day they are approved.
- Payment is sent by ACH to domestic (U.S.) accounts and by SWIFT to international (Canadian) accounts, less any applicable transfer fees.
- Rewards are paid only to an account in your own name. We do not pay to third-party accounts.
- Once we send payment, arrival is dependent on banking systems and their timelines, which are outside our control.
6. Review and approval
Every request is reviewed by Talon personnel against this policy and the account record before it is paid. The conditions in Section 2 are the whole test. If you meet them and you are in good standing, your request is approved — we do not refuse a qualifying request because we dislike how you traded. Automated systems may flag an account for review; they do not approve or refuse a request. We may ask for additional information or verification before approving. We may refuse a request that does not meet the conditions above, and we may cancel a request — including one already approved but not yet paid — if we determine a breach of the Prohibited Activities policy has occurred.
7. Reward share
For the capped rewards described in this policy, 100% of the requested amount is paid to you, subject to the per-request cap. If you are later converted to a live-funded arrangement (see Section 9), the share becomes 50/50 under a separate agreement.
8. Maximum of five rewards
A Crest account is eligible for up to five (5) approved rewards. After the fifth, the account stops accepting new requests and your combined T-Flight and Crest performance is reviewed.
9. After the fifth reward
That review looks at the whole record, not just the balance: how you sized positions relative to the account, whether results came from a series of trades or a handful of outsized ones, how you behaved after a losing day, and whether the approach looks repeatable with real capital behind it. Trading at your full contract allowance is permitted throughout our programs and is never a breach — but a record built on consistently maximum size is a different proposition from one built on managed risk, and we weigh that here.
Following the review, Talon may — at its sole discretion — contact you about conversion to a live-funded arrangement on a 50/50 share, under a separate agreement. Conversion is not automatic, not promised, and not a right. If you are not contacted, the Crest account closes and you are free to purchase a new evaluation and start again. The outcome of the review is recorded in your trader record.
10. Inactivity
Five (5) consecutive trading days without activity closes the account and forfeits accumulated gains. For this purpose, activity means a day that meets the qualifying movement threshold for your program and account size — ±$150 in T-Flight, or the Crest figure in the table in Section 3.
11. Fees
A Crest account carries a one-time activation fee and nothing else. There is no recurring charge, no monthly fee, and no further charge of any kind for as long as the account is open. Activation may be paid at signup with your evaluation, or deferred for up to seven (7) business days after you pass. An account that is not activated within that window closes.
12. Tax
Rewards may be taxable income. We may be required to collect tax information from you and to report amounts paid; Canadian and other non-U.S. participants must provide a Form W-8BEN before any reward is paid. We will not pay a reward until the tax information we require is complete. Talon does not give tax advice.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The terms that apply to an account are those in effect when that account was purchased, as recorded by us at purchase.
